Following the previous experience, the same students and Prof. Busca also
visited, the day November 24th, 2021, the Coastal Deposit (located in
Quiliano, near Savona) of Sarpom Trecate Refinery, to which the deposit is
linked by two pipelines 146 km long. Later, the group visited the buoy
field located in the Vado Ligure Harbor, where oil tankers up to 316,000
tons are unloaded to feed the Trecate refinery. Using two boats of the
Transmare Company, the group also visited the marine terminals of Esso
Lubrificanti and of Alkion, both in the Vado Ligure harbor, as well as the
marine terminal of IP near the Savona harbor.
